Description: Antique Vintage Cast Iron Doorstop Littco Drum Major with Fine Original Paint. Measures about 13" high and the base is 3 5/8" square. It weighs just over 8 pounds. The same doorstop is listed in The Doorstop Encyclopedia by Smith on page 207 (see last photo). Fine clean condition with a nice aged patina and great original paint with no repaint or touch-ups, see my detailed photos. Littco Products, started in 1930, was the companies' art line division Littco Products made decorative cast iron doorstops, bookends etc. They almost exclusively sold their doorstops in gifts shops around the country. On the outset of WWII in late 1941. they ended their commercial casting operations.
