Description: An ornate high Victorian repousse silver pin dish. The profuse decoration in high Victorian style featuring wonderful scrolls, birds and grotesque mask heads. This work is typical for the maker WILLIAM COMYNS. This prestigious and well known maker is famed for this type of lavish decoration - especially on his copious dressing table sets. This may well be from such a set. The ovoid form dish has a fluted rim with the clearly struck hallmarks concealed within the design. The date being LONDON 1892. Lovely condition with slight evidence of usage. However no holes to high points and quite good weight.Width:- approx 11.5 cm. Width:- approx 7.0 cm
