Description: Antique Victorian Late 1800's Flexing Woven Coil Wire Bustle Cage 34" Waist RARE Offered for your consideration is this RARE Antique Victorian Late 1800's Flexing Woven / Coil Wire Bustle Cage. The waist twill linen material measures 34" long and is wrapped /secured at the flared wings and at the center is a gathered sewn linen drop with a hoop ring where 10 coiled arches run through. The bustle itself measures 11-3/4" wide at the wing points, carries a 5" drop and is 2-1/2" deep. This bustle is designed to flex/compress for additional comfort in moving, bending or when seated. Very light....weighing in at 1.8 oz. No corrosion or breaks to the bustle wire. The waist band material shows signs of use (creases & a small amount of fraying at the end of the ties).
