Description: This old painting of St Michael vanquishing Satan is signed on the back, but I can't read it. The date is clear and is 1910. Looks like it's painted on linen. Measures 27 and 1/4" by 17". It is in very good condition for its age, with only tiny bits of paint loss at the edges where it was framed. It was dusty when I got it and I lightly cleaned it (not with any chemicals or solvents, just soap and water). It is a dark painting, but I think it was always dark, not so much darkened with time. It may look better with a professional cleaning, but it looks pretty good now. I have this painting in my living room right now and it is very inspiring to me (resist the devil and he will flee from thee). A truly noble image. Because this is a large size, I have to take it to a packing and shipping place to get it packed properly. That is why there is a 5 day handling time. thanks for your patience.
