Description: Antique Morris Goldman Master Salt Set of 2 Sterling Silver This gorgeous set of two matching Victorian Morris Goldman master salts are not only useful but they are stunning and aesthetically pleasing. They feature sterling silver repousse floral bases with feet and florals on the sides. One side of each salt has what appears to be a moose engraved in the middle. Each salt has three feet, one blue blown glass insert, and is hallmarked on the bottom. The hallmarks read "MG", "F" with the "queen's head facing left", a left facing lion, and a crest. From what I can tell, the date to around the 1900s. They measure approximately 2.5" in diameter. The glass inserts and silver salts are in great shape with no major flaws. I polished one quickly with a cloth and they do clean up nicely but require a more detailed cleaning. Add them to your curio or spice up your next soiree with these beauties. Condition: The silver needs a more detailed cleaning and is tarnished. There are no visible dents, dings or flaws on the silver portions of the salts. One of the glass inserts has an imperfection from the glass blowing process. It is circled in yellow in the photos. Other than this the inserts may have tiny air bubbles but no chips, cracks, or fleabites. The hallmarks are present and easy to read.
