Antique Meissen 8.75" Rimmed Soup Bowl Floral Center Gold Apricot Scroll Rim

Description: Rimmed soup bowl by Meissen. Bowl is antique, but of unknown exact age. I was not successful identifying the pattern (if you know, please drop me a message!). The pattern features irises and another flower in the center. This complements many of the Meissen patterns with a multi-motif of different flowers on different pieces. The rim is scalloped / scrolled. It has an inner gold band, as well as an apricot or peach colored band, also trimmed widely with gold. In addition to Meissen's hallmark of double crossed swords, there are impressed numbers "55" and "2". Condition: Excellent giftable condition. This bowl is in fabulous condition for its age. The hallmark has two lines drawn through it, indicating this was a factory second. I believe this is because the peach band does not completely meet up with the gold rim paint. No mentionable condition issues post-manufacture. No crazing or discoloration. Transfer and over-painting intact without erosion or damage. No chips, flakes, breaks, mends, repairs, blemishes, or mentionable boo-boo's. Don't feel anything amiss when I run finger around edges. No evidence of prior repairs or restoration. Dimensions: 8.75” diameter x 1-5/8” profile depth. Base diameter is 4-3/8". Rim is approx. 1.5" wide. Unpacked weight: 14 oz. Always happy to pass through discounts on combined shipping.
