Description: Vintage two sided locket from the 1800s.The frame is gold filled and has a small screw to hold it closed at the top.It measures 1 3/16" wide [31mm]. It is made like a coin holder.There is domed glass on both sides, they are like watch glass.Inside is a thin piece of mother of pearl [or possibly mica?] and on each side a pair of birds [love birds?] made of feathers with what looks like glass beads for eyes.The person who made the birds was a real master.They are just fantastic.
