Description: This lovely antique German china-head doll was made by the Hertwig Company, ca. 1890's. She is 23" tall, has a black low brow hairdo, partially exposed ears and a pretty serene face on a slightly turned head. Her head, shoulders, lower arms and legs are in very good condition with no cracks or chips, and only a few very small rubs in the black glaze. Her body looks to be newer than 1890's, and her arms are attached with hand stitching. Her head and shoulders have twine fastening holes, but are attached to her body with glue. She comes with her very old pantaloons and slip, and is just waiting for you to give her a pretty new dress.
