INCOMPLETE / WORN AS SHOWN Fairly plain rustic box with scalloped edge border veneers Some marks /scratches to outer Mark to lid edge Key hole / Lock but NO KEY Lock part pulled out shown Base looks like there are holes at horners for feet ?? Good quality Brass hinges with flat edges preventing lid from opening too far. Inner originally foil lined by look of it ??? Upper has original paper lining with tartan pattern ? Unfortunately someone has painted over this Age unknown - I would say pre Victorian Very early Wooden box - 200 odd years old ?? Possibly Tea Caddy - I could be wrong 20cm x 10.8cm x 9.7cm tall.
