Description: This is a handmade, authentic, Ethiopian Orthodox Christian, hand carved, wooden altar made to look like a bible. This Ethiopian altar is made up of two carved pieces of wood which have small holes drilled in the sides through which string is strung like hinges so that this piece opens like a book. This wooden altar is decorated on the front and inside with inlaid hand carved stone pieces. This Christian altar measures 6.50 inches long by 4.40 inches wide with the doors closed. With the doors open the altar is 8.70 inches wide. This Ethiopian wooden altar is in great condition and has been in my personal collection for 15 years. This Ethiopian icon altar would be a beautiful addition to any Ethiopian collection.
