Description: Presented is a fine American sterling silver pitcher with strainer. This piece was made by Shreve, Crump & Low Co, and dates to around 1910-1920. The pitcher is done in a lovely classical baluster style, with a shell design on the thumbpiece of the lid. The pour spout has a pierced strainer, suitable for holding back loose tea leaves, muddled mint or fruit in a cocktail, etc. The side of the pot has a monogram of ACB in interwoven script. This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no leaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The underside is stamped with the eagle mark for Shreve, Crump & Low Co as well as the name spelled out, sterling, the number 82S, and the capacity of the pot, 1 1/2 pints (24 oz/.7 liter).
