Description: An absolutely beautiful 19thc French cotton in a wonderful kilim inspired design. Reds and a beautiful gray blue with brown. The design is exactly the same on on either side. Very desirable pattern inspired by antique rugs which was trending during this period. About 1880. A softer bodied mid density cretonne cotton intended for furnishings of this period. This and another length I recently acquired came from a country house estate in the Aquitaine region of France. Perfect for interiors projects; pillows etc..light decorative upholstery, window elements & an abundance of unique period projects. ***Condition~ is very nice for its age & former use. A hint of mellowing & variation to the colors which is pleasing on this. Gives it a nice old nuance. ***Measures~ 33" wide by 1 yard long (36") I can keep up to "2" uncut, so up to 33" wide by 2 yards long can be sent continuous as I am working with several long panels of this one.
