It is rare to find a sidelock dresser in this size, usually they are taller. This dresser has 4 good sized drawers and is solid wood. The drawer pulls are original with a unique design. Yes, they are worn and perhaps can be re-plated, but having all the same original pulls is a great feature. The drawers glide well for its age. They are not perfect. The dovetail are small triangles exhibiting its age and originality. The top surface is exceptionally good, there are some scratches on the sides. The back is natural wood, not high polished. This solid mahogany 1880’s lockside petite dresser will be an excellent addition to your home. It will certainly be a point of conversation discussing the Lockside and the reasons they were created.
