Description: Rare original January 1851 volume of the American Journal of the Medical Sciences. It contains a variety of articles including Robinson's Case of Poisoning by Arsenic; Haywards Statistics of Amputation; Byford's Observations of Typhiod Fever, etc. The book is overall in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some moderate scuffing and wear. The binding is good and sound. The interior is toned from age with some foxing. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a tiny chip or tear, creased page corner, light bit of soiling or grubbiness, minor stain or marking, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. The book measures approximately 9 inches by 5 3/4 inches with the pagination running from pages 1-272. It is illustrated with one color plate. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
