Description: 35 South Florida Tillandsia Crocata Tristis Spanish Moss Air Plants Up for sale is a large lot of 35 Live South Florida Tillandsia CROCATA TRISTIS Spanish Moss air plants. Yes, you get more than 35 of these plants (sizes vary). They vary in size and shape so although the auction is for 35 I will put a few extra in to make sure you are happy with the amount. They range in size from small to large. I usually put two smalls together and count that as 1...so there really is allot more than 35 in each order. Please understand that these are naturally grown through out Florida and come from trees. Twigs and or branches may be contained in your order. The plants NORMAL color is GRAY and how they would be viewed in a tree except on a rainy day. The gray color is it's dormant state when not WET or very Moist. Please expect the plant to be in a GRAY state upon arrival. This allows me to put the most amount of plants in your order. Upon arrival simply mist the plants to see them turn green. I also put small pieces that break off when removing them from branches. These can be nurtured into large plants but do not count as 1 of the 35. Please expect this in your order. This particular air plant grows around and attaches itself to the small branches in the trees and removing them does not always get rid of the twigs or branches.Tillandsias: Rare and Unusual Plants Tillandsias are true airplants. unlike most plants, they do not grow in soil, but gather nutrients from the air through their leaves. Tillandsias are not parasites. The scientific name for these plants is epiphyte. Tillandsias are a genus in the Bromeliad family of plants. Tillandsias have exotic blooms. The following process can last up to a year. On many species the leaves can turn to bright colors during flowering, adding to their exotic blooming. Tillandsias are extremely hardy plants. Many species are xerophytic as well as epiphytic, that is, they grow almost without water as well as without soil. Most will grow in temperatures from 32 degrees to 100 degrees.
