It is dated December 14, 2000. The note pictures Francisco Morazán who was a prominent Central American leader and statesman. Morazán is best known for his efforts to unite the Central American countries into a single federation, serving as the president of the United Provinces of Central America from 1830 to 1840. In 1931 Honduras renamed its currency the "Lempira" in honor of the Lenca War Chief. When the Spanish "Conquistadors" were trying to conquer Honduras Lempira unified an army to resist them. Francisco Morazán played a significant role in the “Battle De La Trinidad”, which took place on November 11, 1827. It was a crucial confrontation during the First Central American “Civil War”. Morazán led the Allied Army of the Law against the Federal Republic of Central America’s forces. Morazán’s victory in this battle was decisive and marked the beginning of his rise to prominence in Central American politics and military affairs. His leadership and strategic skills during the battle helped him gain recognition and paved the way for his future endeavors in uniting Central America. The Note: A circulated but intact note.
