Description: This item is being sold for the employee holiday fund at the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Maine where I live with my husband. All items are donated by the residents of the community and the net proceeds of all sales go to the fund that is distributed annually to the wonderful staff who help the many elderly residents here. I will give all the information I can about each item, but I am not the original owner. I have here Two (2)/Pair of Vintage Italian Hand Made Venetian Glass Long Stemmed BIG Toasting Goblets by Balboa - Cobalt Blue & Gold. These are incredible and unique goblets and it’s amazing that I have this set of two!! These belonged to a resident who recently passed away and many of the items in her china closet have been donated. She was original owner and I believe these are from the 1960s (perhaps early 1970s). These goblets stand about 13.5” tall (they are REALLY BIG – they hold ~60 ounces of fluid when filled to the rim!!). The top opening is about 5.75” in diameter and the base is 4.5” in diameter. They are beautiful clear and cobalt blue glass with gold paint accents all around and blue glass beads that go around the goblet above a gold band. On the bottom of each goblet/bowl is a green metallic tag that says, “Venetian Glass BALBOA Hand Made in Italy”. They are in good used condition but some of the gold paint has worn off (SEE PICS!!). I have tried to show every angle of each goblet but let me know if you need another view or angle. This is a real find as you will not find a set of these goblets still intact – they need to find a very special home – SUCH STATEMENTS PIECES!! I have many other interesting items up for, many to benefit this wonderful employee fund. I will be happy to combine items if you buy more than one item.
