Description: TWO VINTAGE GOLD MEDAL ORIGINAL NOVELS: GM378 LET THEM EAT BULLETS by Howard Schoenfeld, PBO 1954 "Meet Jerry Nelson, a though private eye, who knew what to feed a public enemy"GM386 THE BEAUTIFUL AND DEAD by Ross MacRoss, PBO 1954 "She was warm bait for murder, with the promise of surrender" Both copies are VG+ to NF and faired well in long-term storage* showing only minimal storage wear and tanning to the text. GM378 Let Them Eat Bullets: Very Good+ to Near Fine. A square, tight copy with the outer covers bright and glossy. A tiny snag at the upper spine at rear cover and a bit of color loss at middle-spine edge at FC. The front cover shows light wear to the laminate and along the extreme edges. A thin vertical line running the length of the cover (through the 'h' in the title) is more of a 'storage-related' impression than a crease, only visible at an angle. The book displays beautifully. The interior front and rear covers are clean and show only faint signs of age. The text has tanned some, with the most affected area along the bottom inch of so of the pages. Yet the paper remains supple and firmly bound. GM386 The Beautiful And Dead: Very Good+ to Near FineA clean copy with brilliant, glossy outer covers. The book has a very mild storage warp, creating a light lift to the front cover. A minuscule snag at the upper spine and a few minor spots of rubbing to the bottom edge of FC and corner tip. The interior front and rear covers are clean, though dulled a bit from age. The text has uniformly tanned, the pages remain pliable, the book square and tight with the pages firmly bound. *Provenance:I acquired a number of high grade paperbacks, digests and pulps in the early 2000’s, which had been in undisturbed storage for nearly 50 years. Because of how they were stored some may show storage warp (i.e.) impressions of other smaller books to covers, etc. This will always be noted in any listing from this collection. Most items obtained range from 1948-1968. All of which, at some point, will be listed here. FREE ECONOMY shipping (5 to 8 business days) - within the United States* is included on this item. *For International buyers*, this item will ship Free Economy mail to the U.S. eBay shipping hub.
