This wonderfully unique and artistic piece has an impressive sculptural form creating a pleasing work of art which transcends function and beautifully embodies the spirit and energy of the 1980s era. The interior of the bowl is beautifully decorated with impressed patterns finished in textured matte glazes in muted blue and orange tones. Decaying architectural elements extend from the inner rim, adding superb depth and dimension to the design. The monumental crumbling edges appear to have been weathered by the elements creating a sense of time-worn antiquity. Not only is this piece aesthetically pleasing, the form and textures combine to create a wonderfully tactile form which is a delight to hold. SIZE: This impressive bowl stands approx 120mms tall and measures 300mms in diameter. WEIGHT: This substantial piece weighs 2.535 kgs unpackaged. CONDITION: This stunning piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips. cracks or repairs. This fine example has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed to the inner base an impressed seal bearing the artists' initials "SC". A seal beside appears to contain the date "89". We have been unable to identify the maker but there is no doubting this is an outstanding gallery quality example.
