Description: I love vintage Treks. There's something very special about them. The quality lugs and handmade craftsmanship from Waterloo Wisconsin are hard to beat. I've owned several, but alas it is time to part with this one to fund future builds. I’ve owned this frameset since 2008. This was my own custom build and interpretation. Fun, versatile and very comfortable upright position. This bike and fork are made to have weight up front, and it rides very well with a loaded basket. Size 57cm. The serial number was inconclusive, but I would place it in the late 79, early 80s timetable. Check vintagetrek.com. For more details. Great details throughout. Reynolds 531 steel frame and fork with campy dropouts. fastback seatstays with very few braze ons. Frame and paint are solid no dents, cracks, no rust. A mix of vintage and semi-modern parts, all quality. 10speed thumb shifters on Paul thumbies. Dia Comp break levers. Ultegra/105 10 speed drive train. Dura ace headset. The cockpit is all Nitto. Very unique and discontinued. Let me say that you will NEVER see these Nitto bars or stem again. Genuine cork grips, Blackburn front rack and Wald basket Thomson elite setback seatpost and Brooks cambium c-17 saddle. MKS pedals. Wheels are vintage Ritchey Vantage hoops with ultegra hubs and vintage campy quick release skewers. I’ve got 700x35c tires paired with some long reach calipers that work amazingly. Also Included in this sale are all the period correct decals you would need for a full restoration and paint job. Randonnuer, Velo Orange, Rivendell, Soma, Surly, Rene Herse, bike touring, mks
