Description: 1978 Ibanez Artist 2618. Made in Japan in the FujiGen factory. Original pickups and hardware. This is an extremely high quality guitar that easily rivals anything Gibson was making in the 70s. Freshly set up and plays and sounds great. Sonically very much like a Les Paul. The Super 80 "Flying Fingers" pickups are Ibanez' answer to the classic Dimarzio Super Distortion. This guitar is in good condition with various dings and scratches. Japanese made Ibanez guitars from the 70s are criminally underrated. If you're looking for a very high quality vintage guitar but don't want to pay Gibson prices then this is it. Includes non-original Gibson branded hardshell case. Note that the mini toggle appears to be installed later and is a phase/out-of-phase switch when the pickups are in the middle position. Gives you that cool Peter Green "cocked wah" solo sound. Specs: Carved maple top Mahogany body 3 piece rock maple neck Ebony fingerboard 24 frets Super 80 Flying Fingers pickups Bone and brass nut Abalone inlays Sure grip knobs - 2 volume, 2 tone VelveTune tuners Gibraltar tailpiece Gold hardware (worn) Added phase/out of phase mini toggle
