Dated May 20, 1975 TC Last HR #166 life and #2 season! He was the first Red Sox player to hit a HR in 1975. Great item. Unscored, Ex Condition. attendance 0nly 17,000. Size 8-1/2 X11 inches. Comes with play by play print out of game that can be added in or scored in the program. Program has lead off batter listed in the A's score sheet crossed out, other than that it is unscored. Tony was a designated hitter in line-up: behind Juan Beniquez, Rick Burleson, Carl Yastrzemski, Jim Rice and Fred Lynn. Dwight Evans, Bernie Carbo and Tim McCarver, Carlton Fisk, Bob Montgomery. What a game! Scarce item, from my personal collection. Great for advance program or TC collector. Also have last HR ticket in my store. Tony Conigliaro Boston Red Sox 1963-75. Local Boston sports hero born in East Boston, moved to Revere, Lynn, Nahant. In 1963 batted 363 and hit 24 HRs for Wellsville. Tony broke into starting lineup of the Red Sox at 19 years old, hit home run his first pitch at Fenway Park Opening Day 1964 in front of the Robert Kennedy, Ted Kennedy and family with funds going to the JFK Library. Youngest A.L. player to hit 100 home runs, youngest A.L. player to led the league in home runs doing in in his second season 1965.Most life time HR by a teenager. Hit by a pitch in 1967 that ruined his career, leading to his early death. Great heart and soul as attempted many comebacks in 1968, 1969, 1975 and in Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame. First Red Sox to hit a HR for 1975 Red Sox. One of first sports star to cross over into a recording career with popular songs Little Red Scooter 1964 and Poetry in 1975. Sang on the Merv Griffin and Mike Douglass show. See over 200 TC items in my ebay store. Sign up for newsletter on collecting. I have autographs ( in all-fields), cards, tickets, programs, pins, pennants, photos, yearbooks, minor league items, awards, and more.I buy ,sell and trade. I have huge inventory not listed on ebay yet. Send wantlist. Tell me what you collect. Programs are similer to yearbooks with less content. Most programs contain photographs, biography and history of the home team and the visiting stars photos. Diagrams of the stadium, seating plan, schedule, ticket prices, rosters, line-ups, how to keep score and vintage advertisment are common features. Many fans purchase a program at the game to keepscore, for reading material or to secure autographs. Programs from when a record was broken command premium value. Condition and scarcity also effect value. Regular game programs from the 1970's up run under $25, but vintage, scarce and rare programs run in the thousand of dollars.
