Description: George Wallace was a longtime Alabama governor when he became a major, third-party force to be reckoned with in the 1968 presidential campaign. He hurt the democrat candidate, Hubert Humphrey, since both were democrats, siphoning off southern voters normally reserved for any democrat nominee. And he hurt the republican nominee, Richard Nixon, because they were both conservative, law and order men. Wallace may be the reason that election was so close, with Nixon winning by a hair over Humphrey, 43.4% to 42.7%. This is an 18" x 24" plastic campaign poster promoting Wallace that year, when several different plastic posters were released for some reason, probably technology and price. It is in nice condition, but please look at our images to judge that for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. We are members of APIC selling only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. Shipping on this will be $5,50, first class with tracking, folded in an envelope. We'll also be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases, which we accomplish via a refund. 8629
