Description: This is an original vintage 1963 paper advertising sign poster for Dr. Pepper soda featuring the company’s “Caveman Clambake” Corvette String Ray giveaway promotion. This poster is printed one side only and measures about 15” x 25” and features artwork with Dr. Pepper advertising mascot “Harmon the Caveman” created by cartoonist Johnny Hart most remembered today for the B.C. caveman themed comic strip. This poster invites the viewer to enter into the contest to win "Harmon’s Square Wheel" plus choice of a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette String Ray Sports Coupe or a Chevrolet Impala 9-passenger Station Wagon plus cash and other prizes. Both the 1963 Sting Ray Corvette and 1963 Impala Station Wagon are featured on the poster along with Hart’s Harmon the Caveman character. The lower margin the poster is printed with a March 1963 copyright by the Dr. Pepper Company of Dallas, Texas so thus the date. This poster is a vintage original in very good condition with just some modest handling wear and a few small very light specks of foxing which are hard to see at all. I don’t believe this poster was ever used and has no tape or pinholes. The poster was slightly flattened in the roll but displays almost like new. Email any questions. Thanks for looking.
