Description: Offered for sale is this vintage 1962 Seattle World's Fair Century 21 Expo Souvenir Space Needle Spoon. My father actually attended this event in Seattle as a boy, way back in 1962 -- presumably buying the spoon at stand or kiosk while there. I inherited it when he passed away some time ago. Precise origin story aside, I am certain that I am the second owner. The buyer of this eBay listing will therefore be the third. I suppose the following question should also be answered: why am I selling this spoon now, after all of these years? Good that you should ask, because it's really quite simple. As I get older myself, I'm in the process of downsizing my household and selling those things that I really don't use or look at on a regular basis. And as there is no large sentimental value tied up in this spoon (I did not attend the fair myself, and I still have numerous other items to remind me of my father) I really don't mind parting with it. It's as basic as that. Still, it bears mentioning: Seattle is a great city! I will always have a special place in my heart for it, and its iconic Space Needle.
