Description: Here's an unusual 1960 "OLYMPIC GUIDE BOOK - ROME" provided by the Italian BANCA NAZIONALE DEL LAVORO "...to the athletes who will be competing in the Rome Games, to the foreign sports organizations and those from our own country, custodians of the noble Flame of the agnostics, as well as to the spectators coming from all over the world to the capital of Italy." This 138-page squarebound booklet contains a full schedule of daily Summer Olympic events; description/maps of locations; local historical sites of interest; lists of Olympic Officials, participating foreign organizations, embassies, etc; photos of Olympic postage stamps; and much much more! Inside the back cover, there is a foldout that shows a map on one side and a day-by-day competitions schedule. The booklet is 8 1/2" tall and 4 1/4" wide. A fantastic item that was used by a person who went to Rome to see the events live at the XVII Olympiad, where among other things CASSIUS CLAY won the Gold medal in Boxing. See photos for a closer look. The booklet is complete with no loose or missing pages and no markings inside. General wear to the cover as shown. Shipping reduced for multiple purchases - please request combined invoice before paying. To request a shipping-adjusted invoice for your purchases and complete check-out, click on your shopping cart. To the right of the seller's name (dadric) you will see a blue button labeled "REQUEST TOTAL". Click on it and I will be able to see the items and adjust the shipping charge appropriately.
