Description: Happy Trails to you as you remember the 1950s with this Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Double R Bar Ranch Lunchbox. Manufactured by the American Thermos Products Company of Norwich, CT in 1954, the metal lunch box shows Roy and Dale posing with their trusty dog Bullet. On the other side, Roy rides his horse Trigger while wife Dale rides Buttercup while roping on the ranch. Our lunchbox has the latch in good working order with the red plastic vinyl handle securely fastened (photo #5). With the hinge functioning well, the lunchbox is display only due to interior rust (photo #10). The two picture sides are in very good shape, but the ends and the bottom have rust (photos #6, #7, #8 and #9) all show this. This lunch bucket has been well-loved throughout, as Nancy carried it to lunch every school day to avoid having to eat "mystery meat" in the cafeteria. Unfortunately, she forgot her thermos as she hurriedly left for recess. The lunchbox, which measures 8.5" by 6.25" by 3.5" not including the handle, will remind you of the iconic duo of Rogers and Trigger who graced the big screens in the 1940s and 1950s.
