Description: 1950 Chevy Sedan Delivery 6 cylinder 3 speed on the tree. We've owned it for about 8 years. Beautifully painted in Mayland Black. How many are left? How many are mostly stock? I don't know but here's one and it is a beauty. All the sheet metal is original from top to bottom. Pop the hood and check out the straight six set in its original compartment. The electrical system has been upgraded to 12 volts, but that's the extent of the modernization. The original air cleaner, newer spark plugs and wire set were on the car as well as a new fuel pump. Gray paint and the Blue Flame decal are as the motor was from factory, matte black paint throughout the compartment. Full frame off restoration was in about 2005. The radiator was recored, the master cylinder rebuilt and the starter was rewired by previous owners. Outside you'll find great original trim over the shiny black paint job. Styleline has more trim than their Fleetline brethren and this vehicle would make deliveries in the 1950s to residential areas where trucks were not allowed. The grille and bumper assemblies are originals as is the rear bumper. The stainless side spears which run from the windshield to the rear door on the beltline are refinished originals. The chrome rear fender accents shine. Vintage Firestone 670x 15 wide whitetails with about 3500 miles on them are paired with original hubcaps, trim rings and red plastic "crown" valve stem caps The rear door opens easily and you can load a lot of stuff without extra effort. I'm told the hood ornament was an option for 1949 and 1950 only. Inside you'll find a pair of very comfortable seats in the front and lots of room in the back. We primarily hauled antiques in it but were planning to add a business logo on the side and never got around to it. The seats and door panels are covered in newer burgundy colored Ultraleather material that feels and looks like leather but is much easier to maintain and lasts longer. The last owner put in a new gray headliner above the passenger seats, while the rear sides and ceiling are covered in black commercial grade carpet. The entire floor from front to back is a heavy thick rubber coating for ease of cleaning and able to take a lot of abuse. The dash features the original gauges which all work. On the steering column, you'll find the three on the tree with added modern turn signals. This is a clean car that drives, steers and brakes as it should and is a joy to drive. Car comes with an after market sun visor and some assorted misc parts never added to the vehicle. This Sedan Delivery was in Old Cars Vol. 45 No. 4 February 11, 2016. I have posted a lot of pictures and will be posting more. I have some from the former owner at car shows etc. I am happy to take any more pictures you request. Wire transfer and you will receive a clear California title. I will assist if you want the car shipped but that is up to you and after your funds have cleared.
