Description: In 1949 Cleveland produced 2 different team picture packs---a set of 20 in portrait form and a set of 30 in action format. This is from the action set--- Satchel Paige would pitch for the Indians in 1948 and 1949. His actual age is not certain but most documentation has him at 42 years old when he was finally allowed to join the Major Leagues. After Cleveland he pitched in 3 more seasons with the St' Louis Browns. His cards are few and far between and very coveted.
