Description: 1948 Satchel Paige Rookie PSA Type 3 Photo 1949 Bowman & 1948 Team issued Picture Pack and Post CARD IMAGE HOF EXECEPTIONAL PHOTO, both in clarity and condition!! Large 8" X 10" photo, slabbed in a PSA Jumbo holder. Image was used for Paige's 1949 Leaf card, which IS NOT INCLUDED!! FOR REFERENCE ONLY!! It also appears that this actual photograph was used as a mock-up for the 1948 Cleveland Indians team issued photo postcards. Note the same font (embedded in the photograph) that was used for the postcard, however the location of the font is different. I posit that the labeling was done on a piece of transparency film, then laid over a Type 1 photo, then a photograph was taken. This would allow for the hand written name to be moved for best contrast against the uniform. I am including an authentic (albeit rougher condition) 1948 Cleveland team issued postcard of Paige, with the photograph.
