Description: A 1930's tied quilt in the Flagstones pattern. Cutter quilt.Size - 72" x 87"Identification the Flagstones pattern can be attributed to the Ladies Art Co. of St. Louis MO. Considered to be the 1st mail-order quilt pattern company in the US, it was in business by the 1880's.Flagstones is a Two-Block quilt pattern. The blocks are placed next to each other to form the pattern. 1 block is a checkerboard type, the other has a triangle in each corner.Blocks - 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" each.Colors - many pastels, lots of cream. Blocks w/pieced corners all have lavender corners. Checkerboard blocks are lavender, yellow, small prints (some Art Deco) & polka dots.This is a tied quilt. There is no actual quilting. Many ties are missing - the remaining ones are cream embroidery thread.Batting - thinBacking - creamCondition - cutter - large light blue patches. some missing or ripped pieces, tattered along 1 edge, 2 rippy corners.
