Description: Up for sale is an antique songbook produced by The Cable Company which was a piano manufacturing company founded by Herman D. Cable in 1880. The piano company factory was in St. Charles, Illinois west of the Fox River. Cable produced many pianos under different name brands: Euphona, Kingsbury, Wellington, Elbum, etc. This songbook is entitled "The One Hundred and One Best Songs" and was created in 1919. Songs include things like: All Through the Night, America the Beautiful, Boy Scout March, Christmas Carol, Dixie Land, How Can I Leave Thee, In the Gloaming, Jesus Lover of my Soul, Loch Lomond, A Merry Heart, My Old Kentucky Home, Old Black Joe, Palm Branches, Three Blind Mice, We Are Little Soldier Men, Yankee Doodle, and of course dozens more. There are about 104 pages between the cover. The songbook measures 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches. The first 37 pages have dog-eared corners on the lower front corner. There is writing on the top front cover and a 3/4 inch tear at the center edge. The back 20 pages are also dog-eared on the lower corner.
