Description: 1892 LIBERTY "V" NICKEL PCGS MS 63 VERY NICE FOR THE GRADE WITH A GREAT STRIKE NICE LUSTER AND PLEASING PALE PATINA. A couple of short, light lines on the cheek and in the field. A much tougher date, it seems, though the series is replete with many tough dates, scarcities and Key Dates. The 1892 had a modest mintage for the denomination, at 11,696,897, followed by several very low mintages in 1894,'95, and '96, Also, there was great economic turmoil over this period, and 5 cents represented significant value, so, they got used as money. Nice coin
