Description: A beautiful and colorful map from the Mitchell New General Atlas, published in 1865, the map was originally entered in to Congress in 1860. This map of Illinois also includes a large inset of Chicago - has nice original coloring! The map itself is set within a separately engraved ornate floral border. The map is much more attractive in person than my photograph(s) for this listing. Condition: Overall, good. Just some minor staining and minor fold at corner of margin (exactly as pictured!).
