Description: A staple bound calendar for the year 1990, issued in preparation for the Summit County Sesquicentennial. Aquatint photographs of days gone by. Some toning to the stock, light wear to the edges. Most of the towns around here were already formed when Summit County broke off from Portage County in 1840. Ohio became a state in 1815 and quite a few towns near here held their 150th birthday party years before. But Congress, in its infinite wisdom decided to establish rule for local governments to be established so that Government would not get bigger than the people they served. That limit was breached in 1838 or so.
