An interesting work on physiognomy and aesthetics by Alexander Walker, in which he explores the physiognomy of various countries, professions, and individuals, and what their faces and features express about their personalities and minds.Physiognomy is a pseudoscience in which you can read a person's face and, from that, assess their character and personality. The science, alongside phrenology, enjoyed a vogue throughout the nineteenth century. Collated, complete.Twenty-six pages of adverts to the rear.
