I will try my best to accurately describe this very beautiful painting!This is appears to be an oil painting of A Winter Sunset Over A Lake or River Landscape Scene. The painting is signed by the artist that to me, it looks like it is either: "K. Winston or Winsten' OR "R. Winston or Winsten". in the lower left hand corner.The way the artist captured the sunset reflecting on the water is stunning!I tried to 'capture' the depth of the paint on the canvas - lots of 'raised paint' called: impasto painting, artists apply thick layers of paint to their canvases to produce a heavy texture that makes brush strokes and knife strokes more visible. When dry, impasto provides texture; the paint appears to be coming out of the canvas.I think it is painted on: Canvas on the front/painted surface and a type of multi-density fiber board which you can see from backside photo.The painting is framed in a pretty pale blue frame with what I believe is called 'Linen Liners'. The dimensions are: Framed: 15 inches wide, 13 inches tall.Painting itself: 10 " wide by 8" tall.Some of our items are pre-owned, vintage, or antique and so may show signs of previous wear or age.
