It is solid 14k gold, made by a Canadian company called I.S.J.C., with its inception in 1957 and no longer in business. So this is a vintage piece, done in the Victorian Revival style, when seed pearls and star shapes were all the rage. The filigree detail in the gold is exquisite. The centerpiece is a star shape, with lustrous natural pearls (4mm) accented by fleur-de-lis arms of the star, studded with tiny seed pearls. In the very center is a flower of one large pearl and "petals" of tiny seed pearls. SO PRETTY! The outer border is dense curlicue filigree all the way around. The underside is equipped with a locking C clasp, and a hidden bail to hold the chain. I have shown it on a chain for size reference, but CHAIN IS NOT INCLUDED HERE--you can add a chain of your choice. This gorgeous vintage brooch pendant measurees 1 3/8" in diameter.
