Description: 12 issues of a magazine put out by The American Stores Company Co-Operative and Beneficial Association (that's a mouthful!). It was a grocery store chain in Philadelphia and this was printed for their workers. It contains submissions of poetry and stories by the different employees. You know how business often say "We're a family here". I think this company really believed it. But I guess it's better than ignoring your employees. I think they did this to show their appreciation to them and develop a camaraderie. Just an interesting little blip of retail history. A glimpse into life of a grocery store worker 100 years ago. 9 by 6 inches. Each issue is about 30 pages.
