Description: The Morningstar SunSaver charge controller is a voltage regulator that keeps your batteries from being over charged by your solar panels. Most “12-volt” panels put out about 16 V to 20 volts, but “12-volt” batteries require 14 V to 14.5 V to become fully charged, so without regulation the batteries will be damaged from overcharging. Advantages of this product: The SunSaver is a fully potted 10-A, 12-V, PWM (pulse width modulation) charge controller with three-stage charging, and temperature compensation based on a sensor built into the controller. It has LED status lights to show the charging status, battery status and faults.Disadvantages of this product: Does not include a low voltage disconnect. You will need to buy a LVD separately to protect you batteries.
